HONORED TO HOST
As Ms. Lummis softly jokes, “I have always loved the piano but have no talent, so supporting young pianists is the next best thing.” When planning for the Classically Cliburn Gala, she notes, “There are very few venues in Ft. Worth that can handle large formal events. We thought the level of service would be best at The Fort Worth Club.”
AN EVENING IN TUSCANY
As guests were warmly greeted by a Tuscan inspired backdrop, it was evident no detail was overlooked by the combined efforts of the Cliburn team and expert Fort Worth Club team. “The Fort Worth Club was honored to host the Van Cliburn Gala for the second year in a row. My favorite element from this event was the beautiful arbor covered in fresh smilax greenery that transported you to an Italian vineyard. This event truly allows our staff to shine and demonstrate their culinary skills and attention to detail,” says Director of Catering, Sarah Wilbanks. Rocio Urbina, Executive Pastry Chef, shares, “The Classically Cliburn Gala gave us a chance to think outside of the box. We were tasked with creating a unique design that would wow and successfully serve 500+ people. We were honored to be a part of the magic of Italy.”
THE PREEMINENT VENUE
Mr. and Ms. Lummis note, “The team was great to work with. The evening went very smoothly and the food was delicious. We were impressed with the Pastry Chef’s creativity! Sarah, Director of Catering, was responsive to our ideas and easy to work with.” The Fort Worth Club remains the preeminent venue for the city’s finest celebrations.
